What Sessions Feel Like

With me, therapy isn’t just talking. It’s discovering, growing, and reclaiming the ways you want to love and live. Some sessions are calm and reflective, others are active and curious. Every moment is focused on supporting you in feeling seen, understood, and capable of meaningful change.

What I Offer

Layered teal and gold bands of a polished geode, symbolizing identity exploration

Identity Exploration

The rules and roles of our society impose norms that often don't reflect our authentic wants and needs. Many people carry deep shame or attachment injury simply for existing in a world not built with them in mind. I support clients in cultivating deeper self-insight so they can live more authentically and love themselves and others more fully.

I work with clients of all gender identities and expressions, sexualities, and relationship structures, with particular zeal for those who are LGBTQIA+ and who live and love alternatively.

Sex & Sexuality

As a Board-Certified Sexologist with training in sex therapy, I enjoy supporting individuals and partnerships around goals related to sex and sexuality.

Areas of focus include liberating oneself from heteronormative sex scripts, finding an ideal headspace for sex, understanding sexual and sensual desires, increasing ease in talking about sex, and discovering the kinds of sex that feel worth having.

BDSM & Kink

Kink is often misunderstood, with popular media portraying unhealthy power dynamics. When built with conscious consent and intentionality, kink relationships can be deeply loving, trusting, and beautiful.

I blend specialized kink education with clinical tools to support kink-interested and kink-engaged clients in exploring desires, deepening dynamics, and engaging more consciously.

Non-Monogamy & Polyamory

In a world shaped by monogamist-normative "shoulds," navigating alternative relationship structures can be challenging. Examining learned relational patterns is both an expertise and a therapeutic passion of mine.

Whether you are considering non-monogamy, navigating roadblocks, or seeking to improve your current relational dynamics, I would be honored to support your journey.

I offer therapy services for relationships of all kinds, with any number of members involved, with a focus on deepening connection.

If you are experiencing communication challenges, seeking greater intimacy, repairing after rupture, or working toward a specific relational goal, please reach out to see if we may be a good fit.

Gabbie Wynschenk, LMFT

Gabbie is a queer therapist who lives and loves alternatively herself. They are a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Board Certified Sexologist, and Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional with years of experience working with individuals, relationships, and families navigating a wide-range of topics.

Gabbie’s therapeutic passions include: working with fellow members of the queer community, people of alternative relationship styles and structures (poly/CNM/kink), and individuals or families touched by addiction. They are person-centered, affirming, non-judgmental, and passionate about what they do. In addition to her clinical work, she is equally driven to educate and supervise new providers.

As a post-modern systems thinker, Gabbie is constantly thinking about social constructivism and how we as humans exist in a context we all co-create. The rules and roles of our society, or as Gabbie calls them, “the should’s”, impose norms that don’t reflect most of our authentic wants and needs. Many of us carry deep shame & attachment injury simply for existing in a world not built with us in mind. These notions frame much of how Gabbie conceptualizes everything.

They take a non-pathologizing approach to therapy that leaves plenty of space for the innate capacity humans have to grow and change. They consider intergenerational trauma, family rules and roles, and relational learning over time in conceptualizing every “problem” and “solution”. Clients can anticipate a spiritually-informed, person-centered, & an always expansive approach.
